From the 7-9 February 2017 Surface Design Show brings to London’s Business Design Centre the newest and most interesting surfaces that the industry has to offer. The only event in the UK which focuses solely on interior and exterior surfaces; Surface Design Show has an extensive programme of events designed to engage the audience of architects, specifiers and designers.
Over 140 exhibitors have selected their newest innovations in surface design for the residential, hospitality, education and commercial sectors.
Exhibitors include Waxman Ceramics who will present a number of standout collections including the Wood Collection which uses digital printing technology to mimic the unique grains and authenticity of natural wood, upon the durable and hard wearing surface of porcelain. Acoustic solutions include Soundtect who use recycled materials to camouflage acoustic function with imagination, and produce panels that are not only stunning but technologically admirable due to their finely tuned balance of reverberation control and sound absorption.
The Stone Gallery is an area dedicated to the rapidly growing stone market in the UK. Officially supported by Stone Federation GB, Stone Gallery 2017 has attracted exhibitors from Europe and beyond including Skarlis Marble, Building Adhesives, Marmoles Serrat, Consorzio Pimar, Amarestone and Lovell Stone Group.
Light School presented by Light Collective and supported by the Institution of Lighting Professionals has been an integral part of Surface Design Show since 2014. Highlighting the enduring relationship between light and surfaces, Light School consists of three parts: Product School, Light Talks sponsored by Luctra and the School Newspaper sponsored by Xicato. Product School provides architects and designers with a comprehensive review of lighting innovation and the latest technology. A star-studded line-up of speakers at Light Talks ensures everyone attending is sure to ‘graduate’ in the lighting world and every attendee gets a free copy of the school newspaper to take away at the end of the ‘school day’.
